“The educational and ethical dimensions of the Olympic Movement”.
8th August 2016

Just over 120 years before today, Pierre de Coubertin presented his proposal to restore the Olympic Games at the Sorbonne University in Paris. Nowadays, experiencing the whole atmosphere of the XXXI Olympiad, in the 21st Century, the educational content of the Baron's masterpiece becomes even more important as it contemplates the Humanism' values that are universally accepted by human society, such as the pursuit of excellence, fairplay, justice and respect. In this perspective of discussion and repercussion in South America, which receives the Olympic Games for the first time, we propose the 2nd International Pierre de Coubertin Symposium.
